NGC4945

A beautiful spiral galaxy seen edge on in the constellation of Centaurus. NGC4945 is 12 million light years away. Imaged with RGB filters using telescope T32 at the iTelescope Siding Spring Observatory.

M31

M33, also known as the Triangulum galaxy is to be found in the constellation Triangulum M31 (Now there's a surprise). This is the 33rd object on a list compiled by Charles Messier starting in 1760. This  majestic spiral galaxy is only 2.7 million light years away. Imaged with telescope T68 at the iTelescope New Mexico Sky's Observatory. Eight, four minute images with a colour camera.

M33

Located in the constellation Andromeda, M31 (The 31st object on a list compiled by Charles Messier starting in 1760), a spiral galaxy is only 2.5 million light years away. Imaged with telescope T14 at the iTelescope New Mexico Sky's Observatory. Five, five minute images as I was pushed for time.

Nebula

The image above shows the Mare Imbrium region with the Apennine Mountains at the bottom of the image. This image was taken a long time ago with a Meade LX200R 10" telescope with a Meade DSI camera (I think it was the DSI!)

The image above is a close up of part of the top image. The large crater is Archimedes and part of the Alpine Valley can be seen at the top of the image along with the shadow of the mountains. This image was taken a long time ago with a Meade LX200R 10" telescope with a Meade DSI camera (I think it was the DSI!)

M42

M42, also known as the Orion Nebula is to be found in the constellation Orion. This is the 42nd object on a list compiled by Charles Messier starting in 1760 (but you knew that!). This  bright nebula is the birth place of new stars and is 1500 light years away. Imaged with telescope T69 at the iTelescope Siding Spring Observatory. Three, four minute images with a colour camera.

M57

NGC7293, also known as the Helix Nebula is to be found in the constellation Aquarius. This nebula is listed as object 7293 in the New General Catalogue. The Helix nebula is 650 light years away. Imaged with telescope T69 at the iTelescope Siding Spring Observatory. Seven, four minute images with a colour camera.

M4

M4 is a Globular Cluster located in the constellation Scorpius. Can you guess who's list its on? M4 is 7175 light years away. Imaged with telescope T09 at the iTelescope Siding Spring Observatory. Six, five minute luminance images and RGB filters at two minutes each.
